Pacific Northwest April-May 2023

After a good flight from Michigan on April 19, we spent the evening making plans with Peg and Karen for our visit to the Pacific Northwest. First stop was Tulip Town on a blustery chilly day.

Skagit Valley is known for its daffodils and tulips, which are shipped world-wide like tulips in the Netherlands and Holland, MI, and other places too. This windmill welcomed us to one of the grower’s fields called Tulip Town.

In the selling area was this mural of tulip fields in the Netherlands where the first owners of Tulip Town originated.

Beautiful tulips in the selling area.

We rode a “trolley” around the tulip fields.

The Skagit mountain range provided a gorgeous background for the lovely tulips.

They just keep on coming.

Daffodils! Fading, but still beautiful

On our way to our next stop we got a preview of more tulips that we would see in the coming days.
