Pacific Northwest April-May 2023
We arrived at the Chihuly Garden and Glass only to learn that the garden would close early that day because they were hosting a private event. So, we scurried quickly through the museum into the garden so we could see it. Only a few of the pictures below need explanation.
In the transition area between the garden and the museum was this photographic portrait of the artist, Dale Chihuly.

We returned to the museum and went through it backwards, from end to beginning.
We spent a lot of time in the museum’s Sealife Room (below), which seemed to cast a spell on all of us.
Chihuly is a great collector. Native American textiles comprise one of his collections.

This installation, entitled Icy Kingdom, was Elaine’s favorite.
