New York 2003 - Venturing from the Hotel

After breakfast we left for our first adventure - a visit to the Metropolitan Museum
of Art to see an exhibition of Leonardo Da Vinci sketches. We took the subway up to 86th
street and then the crosstown bus. Of course we couldn't take pictures at the exhibition.
It was wonderful.
After the museum, we took the bus back to the West side and stopped at Zabar's a New York
culinary institution. We got fixings for a more economical breakfast for the next day, plus some
bagels from a wonderful bagel bakery next door.
After our trip to Zabar's, we went back to the hotel to rest for a few minutes and change clothing.
